IMI Fabi as a leading and reliable partner in the production of talc has partecipated to the Fakuma 2017 the International Trade Fair for plastics processing at the Friedrichshafen Exhibition Centre planned from October 17th to October 21st in Germany. The high visibility of this event made of Fakuma a prominent business appointment for developing new partnerships with decision makers involved in the plastic supply chain.
In fact, this year Fakuma celebrated its 25th anniversary, which was very successful thanks to fabulous initiatives planned along the five-day event to share with more than 48.000 visitors coming from 128 countries.
Talc is a functional mineral providing reinforcement effect in polymers. It is widely used in thermoplastic polymers to enhance stiffness, lower molding shrinkage and increase dimensional stability.
Thanks to its platy shape, talc provides homogeneous mechanical properties in both machine and cross directions. Its hydrophobic character makes talc easy for both polymer incorporation and dispersion; this minimizes the need of specific dispersing and wetting agents, making talc a perfect ingredient for polymer modification.
IMI Fabi was therefore pleased to welcome visitors at booth number 4108 and hall number B4 with a qualified team devoted to display its broad portfolio of talc grades suited for thermoplastic polymers applications like automotive, engineering polymers, plastic recycling, white goods, anti-blocking and nucleation.
