VUT 2024

The historic connection between IMI Fabi and the Valmalenco Valley sparked an exciting new adventure for a group of IMI Fabi employees, who participated in the renowned Valmalenco UltraDistance Trail 2024 (VUT), proudly sponsored by the company. 

The event provided an opportunity to strengthen this bond and experience the breathtaking beauty of the valley together.

IMI Fabi employees had the choice between two race distances—35 km and 90 km—and opted for the more accessible 35 km route, which included 2,500 meters of elevation gain.

The race took place on July 26, starting in Lanzada (SO), and was blessed with perfect weather: clear skies, mild humidity, and only a few clouds dotting the horizon.

The first 10 km of the race proved especially challenging, as the majority of the elevation gain occurred between Lanzada and Bochel del Torno. The subsequent long descent towards Caspoggio also tested the runners’ endurance.

The IMI Fabi team was made up of Eleonora Perani, Silvia Nani, Ivan Picceni, Marco Leusciatti, Bruno Bardea, and Davide Sertore. The six participants were thrilled with the emotional experience and expressed a strong desire to continue as a team for future events, solidifying their bond for future editions of the race.
