Rubber
Thanks to its platy structure and its organophilicity, talc represents a good modifier for elastomers enhancing rigidity and barrier properties. Because of its high specific surface, talc works also as dusting/partitioning agent for sticky compounds, improving handling and preventing agglomeration.
